SOUTH VENETIAN WAY

2005
Miami Beach, FL

In the restoration of this 1940s Miami Beach home, excess has been stripped away to let the original – and far more sculptural – architecture shine. The exterior was edited to uncover the original integrity of the architecture and the interior was stripped of distracting adornments, revealing its essential lines, volumes, and voids. Tones from pure white to pale grey were strategically applied to walls and ceilings to create an unusual perception of depth in spaces. Bathrooms, closets, and the kitchen were redesigned to provide the necessary support to each area while enhancing their functionality and flow. Furniture and accessories blend with the interiors creating a sense of memories and a casual lifestyle.
